Inside the supercar garages of Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, who’s Africa’s real car king?

Picture the three biggest Afrobeats superstars rolling through the streets of Lagos, each with a lineup of flashy machines, begging the question; who dreams about engines more than diamonds? When it comes to music and money, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy rank high in Africa. But beyond sold-out shows, diamond chains, and private jets, these three also have another serious interest, cars. Not just any type of cars, we’re referring to supercars, luxury rides, and limited-edition machines that cost more than several houses in Lekki or more than the annual government allocation for a state in Nigeria.

But while they all have impressive garages, one of them stands out as the true car lover, the one who doesn’t just buy for show, but buys because he loves driving fast, powerful cars.

Ayodeji Balogun who is popularly known as Wizkid, has built himself a solid lineup. Recently, he dropped a huge cash on a Ferrari 296 GTS, and then added a brand-new McLaren 750S. He’s also got a Ferrari SF90, a Lamborghini Urus, a Mercedes Maybach GLS600, and no less than three Rolls-Royce Cullinans. It’s clear Wizkid likes high-performance cars, but he also loves to keep things clean and stylish fast, yes, but always with class.

Now let’s talk about Davido, the king of showing off his toys. He’s got taste, no doubt, but his collection leans more towards comfort and luxury. He owns a Lamborghini Aventador SV, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a Bentley Bentayga, and the super-rare Maybach by Virgil Abloh, of which only 150 exist. He also has a Rolls-Royce Spectre, which is the brand’s first fully electric car, and a Tesla Cybertruck that he says he bought “out of boredom.” That alone says a lot. Clearly, Davido enjoys nice things, but he’s more about the vibes and less about the vroom.

Then there’s Burna Boy, the real car freak in the bunch. His collection is all about speed and performance. He’s got a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, five different Ferraris (the 812, 458, 488 the purusangue & the 1988 328 GTB), and a Novitec-tuned Lamborghini Urus Performante. But the car that made the whole country talk is his latest addition, the McLaren Senna MSO, covered in exposed carbon fiber. This isn’t just rare, it’s one-of-a-kind in Nigeria. He bought it from August Luxury Motorcars for about $1.25 million. That one car alone might be worth more than half of Wizkid or Davido’s entire garage.

So, when the engines settle and the smoke clears, the numbers and the passion say it all. Wizkid is second in command with his stylish and powerful fleet, Davido is the luxury lover who enjoys a smooth cruise more than a race, but Burna Boy? He’s the real deal. His car choices show he’s not just buying for hype, he’s buying for the love of performance, power, and uniqueness. If these three were in a race, Burna Boy just might give them a run for their money.
