Motive company Dacora Motors, which specializes in the production of American ultra-luxury vehicles, has revealed the latest addition to its collection: the Cadillac Celestiq. According to car coops, the newest addition to the family is a mix of classic 1930s style and high-tech innovation, built to stand out in a world of sleek, modern EVs. Handcrafted, highly customizable, and packed with power, this car aims to change the game. But can it compete with the best?
A Design Unlike Any Other
Dacora Motors claims its new car is the first made-in-America ultra-luxury vehicle in nearly a century. While Cadillac might disagree, there’s no denying that Dacora’s design is bold and unconventional. Created in partnership with Pininfarina, the car pays tribute to the Streamline Moderne style of the 1930s, featuring sweeping curves, sculpted fenders, and a long hood.
One of its most unusual features, according to car coops, is the handcrafted wood hood, flanked by circular headlights. The car also has bulging fenders, minimalist wheels, and covered rear tires, giving it a retro-futuristic look. The afterburner-style taillights and high ride height of 7.5 inches (191 mm) add to its distinct personality.
A Cabin That Feels Like Home

Dacora Motors is taking a bold approach. Instead of plastic, the interior is made from wood, woven wool, and toxin-free bio-leathers. The company is also rejecting touchscreen-heavy dashboards; when not in use, the digital display disappears behind a semi-transparent wooden panel.
Customization is a big part of Dacora’s vision. The interior is fully modular, allowing owners to change materials seasonally. Twice a year, new upholstery options will be released, such as wool for winter and linen for summer. Seating can be configured for three to seven passengers, with options like a rear-lounge executive setup or dual bench seats with up to 45 inches (1,143 mm) of legroom.
Dacora is also offering luxury center consoles, including versions with a humidor, espresso machine, and even a bonsai garden housed under glass. More traditional options include a biometric safe and refrigerator.
Powerful Performance

Powerful Performance
Dacora Motors promises impressive performance. The car will have over 800 horsepower and a range of around 400 miles (644 km). Despite weighing 6,500 lbs (2,948 kg), it will accelerate from 0–60 mph in under four seconds.
For those who prefer hybrid power, Dacora says it will offer an optional hybrid drivetrain, though details remain unclear.
Handcrafted in New York

Each Dacora vehicle will be hand-built at the company’s 100-acre Hudson Valley Garage campus in New York. The price? A staggering $500,000, with reservations open for a refundable deposit of $50,000.
That’s significantly more than Cadillac’s Celestiq, which starts at $340,000. Despite the high price, Dacora claims that reservations have already exceeded 150% of its planned first-year production capacity.
Dacora Motors is taking a bold step into the world of ultra-luxury cars. With its unique design, customizable interior, and powerful performance, it certainly stands out. But with limited details and a sky-high price, only time will tell if this newcomer can truly compete with established luxury brands.
