Luxury Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille, known for crafting some of the world’s most complicated and expensive watches, has teamed up with British motorcycle brand Brough Superior to release a limited-edition motorcycle that’s as exclusive as it is powerful.

Named the RMB01, this sleek two-wheeler is priced at a staggering €200,000 (around $235,000) and will be limited to just 150 units worldwide.

The RMB01 is the result of 18 months of development, combining Richard Mille’s futuristic design flair with Brough Superior’s long-standing expertise in high-performance motorbikes. Brough Superior, originally founded in 1919 by George Brough, was once known as the “Rolls-Royce of motorcycles” before it shut down in 1940 during World War II. The brand was revived in 2013 by Thierry Henriette and Albert Castaigne, who now build hand-assembled bikes from a workshop in France.

This new collaboration brings together two masters of mechanical engineering. The RMB01 pays tribute to vintage Broadtracker motorcycles that once raced on wooden tracks in America during the early 1900s. It sports a long fuel tank, minimalist seat, and visible mechanical engine parts that celebrate raw performance and style.

But while the design gives a nod to the past, the materials and technology are ultra-modern. The RMB01 features a custom-built aluminum frame, forged carbon exoskeleton, and a turbocharged 997cc V-twin engine. Made from aircraft-grade metal, the engine delivers 130 horsepower, giving riders serious power that’s meant to be fully enjoyed on a racetrack.

Even the bike’s details are inspired by luxury watchmaking. The wheels resemble the gears of a watch, and the mechanical speedometer on the dashboard has a similar look to the exposed dials seen in Richard Mille’s skeleton watches.

Buyers can choose from three striking versions of the bike:

  • Pearl of Speed: Pearly white with red details
  • Selene: Matte grey with bright orange accents
  • Nocturnal Sapphire: Deep blue with matching blue details

Describing the project, Brough Superior president Thierry Henriette said, “This machine, both a leaping jaguar and a sprinter, full of power and femininity, will remain an unforgettable experience for the team.”

At €200,000, the RMB01 is a piece of mechanical art designed for passionate collectors and thrill-seekers. With just 150 bikes being produced, this rare creation is already turning heads in both the watch and motorbike worlds.
