Honda’s smallest electric car, the N-One e:, has been unveiled, with a prototype of the car shown at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car makes its official debut in Japan.

Known as a “kei car” in Japan, the N-ONE e is Honda’s second light electric vehicle. It is Honda’s second electric kei vehicle, after the October 2024 launch of the N-VAN e. While the N-VAN e was primarily intended for commercial use, the new N-One e is specifically designed for daily use.

The N-One e features small wheels, a high top, and a boxy design. In addition to being adorable, the car has an unusual appearance. Although Honda has not yet disclosed any technical specifications, the N-One e is anticipated to have a single electric motor producing 63 horsepower and be shorter than 3,400 mm.

It is anticipated that the electric drivetrain would resemble that of the N-Van e. Because of its size, the N-One e might have a greater range than the N-Van, which Honda said could travel 245 kilometers on a single charge. The compact battery can be charged in around 30 minutes, and the N-Van allows 50 kW DC charging.

Honda’s new EV can serve as a mobile power source in the event of a power outage or natural disaster, thanks to its Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capabilities. On the go, you can use it to power devices, camping, a workplace, and more, says Carscoops.

The N-One e is also a powerful home power source that can be used during outages or for electric bikes or laptops. However, it requires an adapter from Honda’s accessory catalogue. The device also features a dash-top LED indicator and a sporty cosmetic kit with twin Shelby-style stripes.

The N-One e will debut in Japan this September.
