Porsche just pulled the wraps off the 2026 911 Spirit 70 at the Shanghai Auto Show, and it’s a head-turner built for anyone who loves classic cool with modern power. Only 1,500 of these special cars will be made, and each one mixes today’s high-tech underpinnings with bold 1970s style. Under the hood, you get the same hybrid setup as the Carrera GTS: a 3.6-liter turbocharged flat-six engine teamed up with an electric motor, for a healthy 532 horsepower and 449 lb-ft of torque. That means a 0–60 sprint in about 3.1 seconds and a top speed just under 196 mph, which is overwhelmingly quick, whether you’re cruising the highway or chasing down winding back roads.
On the outside, you can’t miss the new “Olive Neo” green paint, Porsche’s fresh take on a vintage hue, or choose classic gloss black if you prefer. Bronze-tone accents on the wheels, front bumper and rear valance give it a warm, retro feel, while black stripes across the hood quietly spell out “911.” Vintage Porsche crests, satin-black side graphics, and a little round “lollipop” plaque showing your car’s unique build number complete the look. It feels like something you’d spot in a 1970s racing photo but with a more refined, laser-sharp modern fit and finish.
Step inside and you’re greeted by the return of the famous Pasha checkered-flag pattern, now in a tough yet comfy textile blend on the seats, door inserts and even the trunk mat. Surrounding that is soft black leather with green stitching, and the dash mixes classic white-needle gauges with a crisp digital readout that still spells out “Spirit 70” on the tachometer. You also get Porsche Active Suspension Management, rear-axle steering and ceramic brakes as standard, so the ride is as sharp and planted as any modern 911.
In the U.S., expect a starting price of $240,000 plus about $2,250 for delivery, so you’re looking at roughly $242,250 on the road. In Europe, prices should kick off around €200,000–€210,000. Deliveries are set to begin in late summer 2025, just in time to make any road trip feel like a stylish trip back in time.
