Aston Martin has raised the bar once again with the new DBX S, unveiled on April 30, 2025. Boasting a retuned 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 717 brake horsepower and 900 Nm of torque, the DBX S becomes the most powerful pure-ICE SUV in the world, sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds and hitting a top speed of 193 mph

Enter the Lamborghini Urus Performante: a powerhouse in its own right, with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 churning out 656 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. It matches the DBX S’s 0–60 mph sprint in 3.3 seconds but trails slightly in top speed at 190 mph

On the visual front, the DBX S stands apart with an aggressive lower splitter, quad-stacked exhausts, and optional 23″ magnesium wheels, while Lamborghini outfits the Urus Performante with aerodynamic aero components and optional carbon-ceramic brakes for track-focused stopping power.

Now, to the money talk: European pricing suggests the DBX S will start at around $270,000, before any market-specific taxes or tariffs. The Urus Performante enters the arena at a very similar base price of $269,885

So, which SUV reigns supreme? If outright power and exclusivity matter most, the DBX S takes a slight edge with its 717 hp and bespoke Aston Martin styling. If Lamborghini heritage, sharp handling, and track-ready options top your list, the Urus Performante remains a formidable contender at virtually the same price. Either way, you’re buying into more than just an SUV you’re investing in the ultimate fusion of supercar thrills and everyday practicality.
